Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad has arrested two men for passing sensitive Army information to Pakistan intelligence agency ISI. Gujarat ATS DSP BS Chavda said that a probe is underway and it has been ‘confirmed’ that the information was shared with ISI. ATS has also recovered mobile phones in the probe. “Got information about two men passing on sensitive details of the Indian army to ISI handlers in Pakistan, after interrogation, it is confirmed that they did share sensitive details, probe underway,” Chavda told ANI. As per reports, the duo have been identified as Mohammad Alana and Safur Sumra. The two were passing information regarding army movement in the area to Pakistan via telephone.
The arrest comes amid rising tension between India and Pakistan. The development comes in the backdrop of Indian Army’s successful surgical strikes across LoC in which it destroyed seven Pakistan-backed terror launch pads. It is apprehended that Pak’s deep state will, for sure, strike back again in a cowardly manner.
