Weber India, a 100% subsidiary of Weber-Stephen Products participated in the Grub Fest 2016 in order to showcase the benefits of closed lid-grilling. Organized from October 14-16th, Weber Chefs presented the art of grilling to food connoisseurs on the three-day event at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. The event included a live cookout session, starting from the lighting of charcoal to cooking a full course meal.
The event is also to screen various food-centric movies, mixologists’ demos, chef talks and cooking demos. Since food festivals are opportunities to bring together a variety of food under the same roof, the Grub fest was able to bring food enthusiasts closer to one another through a variety in choices of food. The attraction of the fest though, was the new concept of close-lid grilling, which was being introduced in India. The Weber grill barbeque allows it users to grill and bake, roast and smoke their food.
Commenting on the fest, Manish Khandelwal, Managing Director of the weber-Stephen Products, said that the youth of today was more interested in gastronomy and gourmet style food items. He said that the Grub Fest was one of the most prominent food fests in the country and was a great way to bring foodies together, from different cultures and communities for their universal love of food.
