Amid row over reconversion programmes, a senior functionary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today said conversion should be by will and there no pressure “for coming back” to Hinduism fold.

“There is no pressure on ‘ghar wapsi’, but at the same time there must be no compulsion to leave the home,” RSS awadh pranth sanghchalak Prabhunath Srivastava told reporters here.

He said it was the basic ideology of the RSS that anything like conversion should be by will.

Srivastava said that the Sangh was inviting online membership and was getting at least 10 request each day.

He said the main emphasis was on communal harmony. “Irrespective of the caste and creed, our ancestors are one and our traditions are the same,” he said.

Srivastava said during Nagpur meet adoption of June 21 as World Yoga Day by the United Nations was appreciated.

He said that RSS would take this to every section of the society and would observe Yoga week across the country.

Those who are already in home "ghar" should be given respect first .Are dalit treated equally .Remove Mindset of untouchability ,allow them in temple ,let the priest perform religious ritual (Pooja) at their home ,don't discriminate them in social gathering ,let them eat together with upper caste in any function ,let their kid be allowed to study ,help them financially .If we do all these they will not leave home "ghar" and "ghar vapsi " will not be required.
