Arvind Kejriwal had released a video message on Monday appreciating the move by Modi government to carry out surgical strikes across LoC post the Uri attack. Kejriwal who said that despite their differences on various issues, he salutes the will Modi has shown in the action taking against the terror attacks. But Kejriwal’s statement demanding proofs for the strike received strong backlash from BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad today.
Prasad, who addressed the media hit hard at the Delhi Chief Minister. He said that ‘When the nation is standing together in such times, why is an Indian Chief Minister saying things that has given the Pakistan’s media a chance to question India?’
The Union Minister strongly condemned Kejriwal’s statement and said that he shouldn’t do or say something that insults the nation’s Forces. They are there on the border for us, I request Arvind Kejriwal to not let them down with such statements.’
Kejriwal who had requested PM Narendra Modi to expose Pakistan’s false propagandas yesterday was told by Ravi Shankar that if he really thinks so, then why is he (Kejriwal) getting influenced by Pakistan’s agenda?’
‘You know you have become the headlines of Pakistani media.’ Prasad thrashed Kejriwal’s comment that being an Indian, how can he ask the PM to provide proof for the surgical strikes.
He questioned Kejriwal whether he believes in the extraordinary valour of our Army or not in conducting the surgical strike or not. Further talking about the situation at present, Ravi Shankar said that not even one nation is standing with Pakistan right now. He said ‘Pakistan has been isolated diplomatically, strategically and in terms of international relations while nobody has condemned the surgical strike carried by India.’
Ravi Shankar on the concluding note added that P Chidambaram from Congress is also echoing Kejriwal’s sentiments nowadays and this is a saddening fact. The BJP leader said that Chidambaram also has joined the bandwagon of those doubting the calibre of our Indian soldiers. He urged them not do so as this belittles the valour and leadership of Indian Armed Forces.
