The Delhi Police have issued a lookout circular for Suyyash Gupta who allegedly killed his fellow radiology intern at the St Stephens Hospital yesterday, the police said. Shashwat Pandey was found with his throat slit inside the retiring room of the hospital yesterday. It is suspected that he was killed by fellow intern, Gupta, who was “nursing a grudge” against him, they said.

Gupta has been untraceable after the incident and his cell phone has been switched off since then. It is suspected that he carried out the killing in a planned way and was even carrying spare clothes. He had come in his car to the hospital, killed Pandey and then fled to Anand Vihar bus terminal where he abandoned his vehicle, police said.

They said the immigration officials have been alerted about Gupta trying to leave the country. He had posted a message on Facebook, saying it was nice staying in India which indicated that he might be trying to flee the country, they added. Gupta was “harassing” Pandey for the last two years. Pandey had, earlier, complained to the hospital administration about the harassment, following which Gupta was suspended from the hospital.
