The soldier had joined the Army just three months ago and returned home in a coffin. The moment Madhuri saw her son Suraj Tiwari’s corpse wrapped in tri-colour she collapsed and said, “Abhi toh ise tika lagakar bheja tha… (just now I have sent him with the vermillion mark on forehead).”
According to reports, “Swimming training for armymen was going on in the Saryu river near Faizabad. Suddenly, water flow soared and three soldiers started were swept away. Though divers were also there and they saved other two soldiers but couldn’t save Suraj as he floated kilometers away with the tide.”
