Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a joint press conference after an exchange of agreements between both the countries. Speaking at the press conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said stated it was a very significant day in the history of the friendship between both the countries. Modi said that Nepal is an immediate neighbour of the country and they share close friendly relations, along with the aims of keeping peace and stability.
Modi also expressed his hope that Nepal will successfully implement the agreements through the wise leadership of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”. Modi said that both the countries’ security interests are inter-linked and both have agreed to secure their societies, which is essential for the achievement of development and growth. He added that India is prepared and stands with Nepal to strengthen their relationship.
He also talked about the co-operation between India nd Nepal’s defence and security agencies, which is important to guard the borders of both the countries. Earlier today, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted along with pictures of the two leaders, as the Indian Prime Ministers received his Nepalese counterpart. Prachanda arrived here on Thursday on a four-day visit to India.
