At least seven Pakistani Rangers and one terrorist were killed in retaliatory firing on Friday by the Border Security Force (BSF) near LoC in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir. The firing which began in the morning continued for almost 40 minutes, in which a BSF jawan was injured. Pakistan rangers again resumed firing in the afternoon at two forward Indian posts at Bobiyan in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, reports said.
Since the surgical attack carried out by the Indian army on September 29 in the terrorists camps in Pok, the neighbouring country, is continuously resorting to mortar shelling and small arms fire at one or the other place along the borders in Jammu.
Through Wednesday night, it continued lobbing mortar shells, apart from resorting to automatics and small arms fire along the LoC in Rajouri district.
The Indian troops retaliated the attack in an appropriate manner. There was no casualty or damage on the Indian side.
