The BJP has set itself an ambitious target of clinching at least 180 of the 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan in the state elections due next year. The party is also focusing on retaining all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state in the 2019 general elections with a bigger margin. At a meeting of the BJP’s state-level working committee, which concluded today, the party brainstormed on steps to be taken to strengthen the party at the divisional and booth level and in remote areas. The party reaffirmed its stand of giving opportunities to youngsters during polls.
Talking to reporters, state BJP unit chief Ashok Parnami said the party workers are full of energy and enthusiasm due to remarkable performance in various elections. “With this atmosphere prevailing in the entire nation, all party leaders and workers have set themselves a target of 180 plus seats in the state elections next year.
