A BJP MP today caused visible discomfiture to the treasury benches when he said in Lok Sabha that the government’s claim that enough jobs have been created in the last few years was not true, inviting applause from the opposition members.

While raising a question on the impact of global slowdown on labour and the industry, Harinarayan Rajbhar, who represents Ghosi in Uttar Pradesh, said even though Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has been claiming that many jobs were created in the last few years, it was not true at the ground level.

Also watch:

“In reality, there is no new job is created. It is not happening. Please give us the figures,” he said. Rajbhar’s remarks put the treasury benches in visible discomfiture, as opposition members belonging to the Congress, TMC and Left Parties applauded the BJP member by thumping desks.

The Minister did not reply to Rajbhar’s remarks as Speaker Sumitra Mahajan moved to the next question.

BJP minister admitted in parliament that unemployment has been on the increase. Also admitted is the fact that farmers suicides have been on the increase. Also is the fact that BJP Government fulfilled only one third of promises their ministers made in parliament. The list of failures is very long.

There is a considerable section of po tion that feels bad about facilities given to minorities, reservations for SC/STs and how the reservations work out in practice. The congress government has alienated vast sections of po tion with its rule full of scams and absence of rule of law. An impression was gained that mone people can do anything . BJP was perceived as the only party that would give protection from the perceived aggressive behaviour of so-called minorities in some areas. Such people are the cons uency of BJP. Their method of indoctrination is that what they practise alone is secularism and others are pseudo-secular. This Goebbelsian propo a was not successfully countered by Congress and other centrist parties who long back gave up any pretence of having ideology. So the field was open for BJP. They are best at activities conducted by Bajrang Dal, VHP, etc., on emotional issues. Matters of economic importance are always secondary to them.

"You can fool some people for some time but cannot fool all the people for all the time" is the well said proverb most practical in life. Howsoever strong your propa a is , you cannot hide the truth for ever. Ultimately the facts on surface keep people thinking about the realities and agitating inside themselves which in some makes burst out and develop courage to speak as the MP has done. Gradually many more will come out with the realities but may be it takes time and longer time because of over riding tendencies of the higher ups to get things supressed and also fear of getting side tracked prevailing in some on the fence.

Even BJP MPs are beginning to realise the falsehood the government is dishing out. That is good news for the country.
