On a day when Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal took oath as the eighth chief minister of Delhi, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said that the saffron party had made a tactical mistake of not going in for the Assembly poll in Delhi immediately after the Lok Sabha election last year.

“We made a tactical mistake. I have no hesitation in accepting it. After the Lok Sabha election, we could have gone for an Assembly election immediately, we would have won hands down in Delhi. But a lot of time has passed,” Naidu told reporters here.

He said that the BJP has to introspect and find out the means to expand its base further.

“Delhi election is definitely a setback undoubtedly, but the BJP’s base in Delhi is intact. Our vote base remains intact,” he said adding that it was the votes of other parties which got transferred to the AAP.

“There is a lesson for the BJP to learn in this election. The lesson is even if all other parties join together, you must be in a position to win the election. Earlier, there used to be four-cornered, five cornered but now some of the parties have decided that they would extend their support base to other parties,” Naidu said.

He said that the AAP promised Delhiites reduction in rates of electricity and water, which the BJP couldn’t.

“We could not say it because we know the financial health of Delhi,” the urban development minister said while wishing AAP best of luck for the future.

“We could not say it because we know the financial health of Delhi,” - but you were shouting that the black money is sufficient to run the entire country for 5 years. And with in 100 days, you will bring back truck loads of black money from somewhere?

Is Naidu admitting that the 8 months of modi rule has been distinctly anti people ?

Why because now people know all the BJP promises are JUMLAS .If you had done good work at the centre surely you wouldt have lost. Remember Narismha Rao govt just required 2 month to bring the path breaking budget that changed india's economy and with modi we see nothing after nine months

Come on, Naidu. If it's wrong timing or tactical mistake, who is responsible for the mistake? Fix the responsibility and let the person be accountable. Naidu's attempt here is to generalise the huge blame to everybody in order to insulate Modi and Shah. In Maharashtra and Jharkhand there is a strong anti- inbency working in favour of BJP and it is easy to harness the wave by 'carpet ' bombardment of hypes. In Delhi, it is a level playing field, where Kejri called the bluff of Modi- Shah imperious duo. Giants of clay?

So, you have proved that Consution could skewed, twisted, brokered etc by Politicians. Isn't such a Consution consute a flaw? Who will fix it? Movement by people or existing politicians?

Kejriwal as CM should prove himself than making sweet promises and anti corruption Planks , let him prove himself without making allegations against others.
