A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader today apologised after he was issued a showcause notice by the party for using ‘unparliamentary language’ against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

At a meeting in Purulia’s Jhalda, BJP district in-charge Shyamapada Mondal had yesterday said unparliamentary words against the chief minister.

State BJP President Rahul Sinha said they had issued a showcause notice to Mondal after which he had apologised.

“It is unfortunate and it should not have happened. We should not give reply to anyone’s misdeeds by using filthy words. He has been warned of never repeating it,” Sinha told PTI.

Sinha said that at a personal level he was apologetic to all women folk and also to the chief minister.

The incident comes days after an FIR was lodged against BJP’s Birbhum district president Dudhkumar Mondal for threatening to cut off hands of Trinamool workers.

Mondal had last week threatened that hands of TMC activists would be severed if “any more atrocity was committed” on BJP workers for quitting Trinamool Congress.

He had also apologised after getting showcause notice by the party.

We should not give reply to anyone’s misdeeds by using filthy words. Good develoment. Let us serve the nation/common peoples , who would give being reply to the miscreants through ballots. Already TMC is under investigation for involvement in the chit fund scam and its leaders including Mamta are liokely to be jailed. On getting Kharabs of Rs from the scammers, common peoples would be relieved from the tax burdern *** jai Hind ***
