Benjamin Netanyahu India visit Live Updates: Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in India today, almost six months after PM Narendra Modi made a historic visit to Israel. Netanyahu is in India for a six-day state visit. The Israeli Prime Minister, who is the second Prime Minister from his country after Ariel Sharon to visit India in the last 15 years of a diplomatic relationship. He is being accompanied by 130 member delegation from sectors like cyber, agriculture and defence. Later in the day, he is scheduled to meet the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Netanyahu will again meet his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and hold delegation level talks during his visit to the country.

6 pm: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussed various aspects of the Indo-Israel ties aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership. According to a statement by Netanyahu’s media adviser, the Israeli prime minister told Swaraj that there is a lot of enthusiasm for improving ties not only in the meetings at the level of government and leaders but also among the people of the two countries.
