Everyone loves good cricket. Twitterati showed this today by welcoming the acceptance of Lodha Commission recommendations for BCCI reforms by the Supreme Court.
As soon as the news of the verdict came out, BCCI became one of the top trending topic on Twitter with scores of cricket fans dishing out their opinions on the verdict, which also sparked a debate over SC’s “overreach”.
The apex court accepted the recommendation to put a CAG nominee in the BCCI board. Responding to this, cricket commentator Harsha tweeted, “Will be interesting to see how the inclusion of a member of the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) office will affect functioning.”
Senior journalist Shekhar Gupta tweeted: “CAG a constitutional body. Shdn’t oversee a society. This is nationalisation of regd. societies. Pl look beyond BCCI”.
There were scores of others who welcomed the SC decision. Some, however, questioned the verdict.
