Baahubali actor Prabhas is the latest celebrity to come aboard Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ mission and said that it is not just his duty but also a habit to keep the country clean. Prabhas took to Facebook and said, “To all my wonderful fans, As we approach this significant day, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji, who always strived for cleanliness, I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the great work happening on making India clean and green with the Swach Bharat Initiative. It’s something that I personally believe in. Keeping my country clean and healthy is not just my duty as a citizen but also a habit.”

He added, “To all those who feel the same as me, let’s continue doing our best for a cleaner India. Our country will definitely be more beautiful than it already is. Jai Hind!”

As Prime Minister’s Clean India project completes three years, many celebrities have agreed to undertake ‘shramdaan’ (contribution of labour) and toilet construction. Apart from Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan, Rajnikaant, Anushka Sharma and Vidya Balan have expressed their will to be a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar’s recently-released “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” was a love story against the backdrop of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Moreover, two personalities from Assam, singer Papon and actress Madhurima also agreed to be associated with the ‘Swachhta hi Seva’ campaign. Global Inter-faith WASH Alliance, founder Swami Chiddanand, will lead a cleanliness drive along the banks of the river Ganga in Rishikesh on September 25, official sources said, as per PTI report.
