Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, while speaking at the inauguration of Patanjali Research Institute at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi by calling him ‘Rashtra Gaurav’ (nation’s pride) and ‘Vishwa Nayak’ (global hero) for marking India’s presence on the world stage and making the country proud of its achievements. He said first there was a ‘Satta Parivartan’ (change in power) and now there is ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ (change in system) under PM Narendra Modi. “There was ‘Satta Parivartan’ & there is ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ under Narendra Modi ji. India is being transformed under him. PM Narendra Modi is a ‘Rashtra Gaurav’ and ‘Vishwa Nayak’ who has made India very proud at the world stage,” he said.

Talking about the International Yoga Day which is celebrated on 21st June every year, Baba Ramdev said he will go all across India to make it more popular. “We have decided to mark this International Yoga Day in Ahmedabad. We will go all over India to make Yoga more popular,” he said. Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister said people of India are source of his energy. He said, “I can say it confidently, we will not ignore or forget the heritage that we have been historically proud of. We must never forget the innovative spirit that our ancestors were blessed with.”
The Patanjali Research Institute was inaugurated by PM Modi. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid obeisance at Kedarnath as the portals of the Himalayan shrine were reopened for devotees after remaining closed for six months for the winter. With this, he became the first Prime Minister to visit the famed temple in 28 years after former prime minister VP Singh had paid a visit to the temple in 1989. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Uttarakhand Governor K K Paul and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.
