Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today sacked SC/ST, Women and Child Welfare minister Sandeep Kumar after receiving what he termed as an “objectionable CD”. Kejriwal said that there cannot be any ‘compromise’ with a minister’s propriety in public life. “Recd “objectionable” CD of minister Sandeep Kr. AAP stands for propriety in public life that can’t be compromised, removing him from Cabinet wid immediate effect,” said Kejriwal in a Tweet.

In a statement to ANI, Arvind Kejriwal said that Minister of Child Welfare and Social Justice Sandeep Kumar has been removed from the cabinet.

PTI sources said the CD purportedly showed Kumar, also Women and Child Development Minister, in a compromising position with a woman. “The CD came to us half-an-hour back. We saw the CD and took the decision to sack him immediately. AAP has zero tolerance for crime and corruption,” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia told media after the development.

This is the second sacking of a minister in Arvind Kejriwal’s cabinet, while one minister was asked to leave last year. In October last year, Delhi CM had sacked Asim Ahmed Khan, 38, who was minister for food and environment on the charges of demanding bribe.

“I will not even spare my son, Manish Sisodia or anyone else if he is corrupt,” Kejriwal had said at that time. In June 2015, Law minister Jitendra Tomar resigned after he was accused of faking his college degree.
