Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday continued his tirade against the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre and alleged that the nation has not benefitted from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swacch Bharat’ initiative.
“100 crore were spent on advertising for the ‘Swachh Bharat’. Has even a lane or road in the country benefited from this campaign?” he asked.
Kejriwal, who is presently in Patna at the invitation of his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar, while speaking at the Adhiveshan Bhawan here also highlighted the ongoing tussle with the NDA Government over the appointment of Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) chief.
The AAP chief also criticized Prime Minister Modi over his DNA jibe.
“They (BJP) raised questions on the DNA of the people of Bihar. They made the same mistake when they questioned my ‘gotra’ and the voters gave them a befitting reply in the Delhi elections,” he said.
Kejriwal was earlier today shown black flags by the protestors, who claimed to be the supporters of veteran social activist Anna Hazare, on his arrival at the Patna airport.
The protestors alleged that Kejriwal has betrayed Hazare.
