After MNS Chief Raj Thackeray managed to get not only filmmaker Karan Johar but also other producers to accept his demands that whoever casts Pakistani artists in their movies will have to give Rs 5 crore to Army relief fund, Former Air Vice Marshal Manmohan Bahadur replied with a few tweets, saying that this move is extortion. The Ex-Air Vice Marshal said, “I served four decades in uniform- and never did I live on extorted money. What’s this happening in my country?” The MNS supremo had earlier said that this is a ‘victory’ and had added that producers will have to provide in writing that they will not take Pakistani actors in their movies from now on.

Manmohan Bahadur also said, “Why should the Armed Forces be made a part of this extortion? By accepting this money they would become a ‘receiver’ of tainted money.” Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis chaired a meeting today on October 22 with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil film director Karan Johar and MNS Chief Raj Thackeray regarding the release of the film. “We will not oppose ADHM’s release,” MNS told after the meeting of Raj Thackeray with CM Devendra Fadnavis and producers.

The Ex-Air Vice Marshal also said, “The Indian Armed Forces cannot, and SHUD NOT, become crutches 4pol ambitions. Unfortunately, this is the trend seen in recent past. Stay away please.” “Filmmaker Karan Johar has decided to put a special mention paying homage to martyrs at the beginning of his film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’,” Mukesh Bhatt said after the meeting. Mahesh Bhatt has also assured CM Fadnavis the Producer’s Guild’s decision to not work with Pakistani artists in the future. The MNS and some other political parties had opposed the release of films with Pakistan actors following the Uri terror attack, which put a question mark on the film slated for release on October 28.
