Amit Shah Jind bike rally in Haryana LIVE UPDATES: BJP chief Amit Shah is participating in a mega bike rally in Jind – the nerve centre of Haryana politics today. Over one lakh youth bikers are expected to participate in the ‘Yuva Hunkar’ rally, which is being seen as a BJP attempt to consolidate its hold on Jind and the nearby areas of Haryana. On Wednesday, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar himself rode a bike in Jind to take stock of the preparations made for the rally. “All necessary arrangements for tomorrow’s rally have been made,” Khattar told reporters.
Tight security has been made in view of the rally in Jind, while police and other security agencies have been put on alert. Shah’s rally comes after the All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti withdrew their proposed protest rally in Jind after holding talks with Khattar and Union Minister Birender Singh on Sunday night. Meanwhile, opposition parties have decided to peacefully protest against the rally. While Haryana AAP chief Naveen Jaihind has decided to present ‘pakodas’ to Amit Shah over the BJP’s alleged failure to generate the promised three lakh jobs for the youth of the state in the last three years, main opposition party INLD has said it will show black flags and balloons to protest against failure of the state BJP government on many fronts.
