Every house to have electricity by 2022, says BJP President Amit Shah in Jharkhand. Referring to the ‘Digital India’ campaign Shah said that BHIM App has emerged as one of the most popular apps for digital transactions. He added,”Minerals of Jharkhand have potential to benefit entire India. The poverty here is slowly getting eliminated.” Shah went on to say,”Demand for the separate state of Jharkhand was fulfilled by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It was created by him. Modi Ji will help it prosper.” Meanwhile, on Friday, Shah called upon party workers to strengthen the party’s Jharkhand unit, as per PTI report. While addressing party men at the party office, Shah said in his 110 days of the journey across the country, Jharkhand is the 22nd state. The aim is the expansion of organisational works, a party release quoting him said, as per PTI report.
Shah said that the BJP has been getting support from the people as seen in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, but the party has to reach its peak. He added there is no need for over-enthusiasm, the release said. Shah said constructive results are being seen and there is enthusiasm among the workers, the release added.
Meanwhile, the BJP President also accused the Congress of “indulging in family fiefdom since Independence” and said there was no place for merit in that party, reported PTI. Shah claimed that only the left parties and the BJP had “internal democracy.” Referring to Jharkhand, Shah asked the gathering, “Who will run the party after Guruji (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president Shibu Soren)? Does anyone have any confusion about it,” apparently hinting at JMM working president and Shibu’s son, Hemant Soren? Shah took a dig at the Congress and said that the intra-party polls were held every three years and anyone could become its president as the person was not elected on the basis of which family he belonged to.
He said the top post in the saffron party was all about commitment and merit and on the basis of that, he, who was a booth-level president of the party years ago, had become its national president. Shah said the BJP was not in politics to grab power and described it as the “most democratic party” in the country. “There should be three important things for a party — internal democracy, functioning on principles and track record,” he said.
