Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav’s new abode is ready and has been inaugurated on Friday. The new address- 4, Vikramaditya Marg, an estate department house earlier belonged to the official residence of the Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC).
The Chief Minister has been alotted 5, Kalidas Marg as the official residence though he puts up with his father, the former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav at 5, Vikramaditya Marg, a wall away from his new residence. The building that was just nother government bungalow earlier is now a spacious palatial two-storey residence with sprawling garden to its view. In UP, the CMs are alotted houses that they can retain life long even after their term ends.
However, sources say that the wall separating the house between the father and son’s buildings have been removed and no 4 is now just an extension of Mulayam’s number 5 residence.
The big event of the Chief Minister saw media persons and well wishers flocking in leading to constrained movement on the VVIP Vikramaditya Marg, which only cleared around late noon.
