In what can be termed as a real surprising move by the Samajwadi Party, Chief Minister (CM) Akhilesh Yadav who was also the state president of the party has been replaced by senior party leader and the state cabinet minister Shivpal Singh Yadav.
The move came after the CM removed IAS officer Deepak Singhal from the post of Chief Secretary of UP only after two months of his appointment. Singhal was replaced by 1983 batch IAS officer Rahul Prasad Bhatnagar.
