In a bid to woo slum dwellers and people living in unauthorised colonies, BJP chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi today promised to make regular visit to their areas, including all basic facilities, if her party was voted to power.
“My real Delhi lives in slums and unauthorised colonies. After becoming the chief minister, providing all facilities to sisters, mothers and brothers living in slum areas will be my first priority. If I become the CM, I will visit jhuggi every day with MLAs, municipal officials to check water and electricity supply there,” she said while addressing a rally at Ambedkar Nagar in South Delhi.
She, while addressing the rally ahead Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival, also said she has 40 years of administrative experience and “I have also worked in slum areas for 26 years”.
“Somebody is spreading lies that if Kiran comes to power, she will destroy slums, but I want to say that Kiran doesn’t destroy, instead she establishes,” she said.
Bedi also said that if party comes to power, she would ensure safety and security for women and act against corruption.
“If I become the chief minister and any policemen asks for money, you should ask them that when…my CM has never asked for money, so how could you demand money?” she said.
