Union Minister Babul Supriyo who was attacked by TMC workers yesterday, came out in support of the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film that is on shaky grounds because of the casting of Pakistan import Fawad Khan is slated to release on October 28.

Supriyo said that the MNS who have constantly been threatning the film’s producers of not releasing it said they have always been a party of goons.

Babul Supriyo said ”MNS should not have the right or audacity to create ruckus at threatres. They have always been a party if goons.”

After the meeting, Supriyo added that MNS workers are just trying to create fear in others mind. He said that since this film was made when situation was normal, it should be allowed to release. ”From now on Indian film makers will not be working with Pakistani artists,” he added.

The film’s director Karan Johar has been facing brickbats for casting Fawad in his film despite the increasing tension between India and Pakistan. Karan has however said that his patriotism is not to be doubted and for him, the nation always comes first. He also added that in future, he’ll never cast a Pakistani artist in his film again.

The film is being backed by a lot of Industry people quoting the art value, including stars like Aalia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Producers Mukesh Bhatt and Sidharth Roy Kapoor are today meeting Home Minister Rajnath Singh to ensure the release of the movie without any hunches.
