Aarushi Talwar case verdict Live Updates: The parents of Aarushi Talwar, Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar will be released today from Ghaziabad’s Dasna Jail. Yesterday they were acquitted by the Allahabad High Court in the murders of their teenage daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj in 2008. As of now it is not clear at what time they will get out of the jail. The jail officials have said that they have not received the papers yet, according to reports. Yesterday, the court had ruled that neither the circumstances nor the evidence was enough to hold them guilty. The 263-page verdict ends, at least for now, the nine-year ordeal of the Noida couple who were sentenced to life by a Ghaziabad CBI court on November 28, 2013 for the double murder that not only transfixed but also shook the nation with its element of filicide. Aarushi was found dead inside her room in the Talwars’ Noida residence with her throat slit in May 2008.

3:35 pm: Since yesterday, the family has been dodging reporters and the media spotlight that have returned to the flat after Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were acquitted by the Allahabad High Court in the murder of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj. Persistent reporters assembled outside the house from 7 am just in case the Talwars returned to their home after their release from Dasna jail in Ghaziabad.

2:56 pm: “It is a fantastic news. I am very happy for the Talwars. It is a shame that it took nine years for the innocence to have been proven. It is also tragic that we still don’t know who the killers of Arushi and Hemraj are. But I am very happy for the Talwars,” Konkona told reporters at the opening ceremony of Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival, last night.

2:45 pm: The court said the Talwars could not be held guilty on the basis of the evidence on record, thus ending the nine-year ordeal of the parents who were found guilty by a CBI court of murdering their 14-year-old daughter, Aarushi.

1:47 PM: The guards at the society said the Talwars after their release might live in the house of Nupur Talwar’s father, who lived a few blocks away in Sector 25, as tenants were currently living in their apartment.

1:43 pm: They said the couple was living in Haus Khas in Delhi before their arrest in 2013.

1:05 pm: Not giving up, some camerapersons tried to go up to the terrace where the body of Hemraj was found, but the door was padlocked.

1:00 pm: The presence of the reporters irked the residents, who were reminded of the May of 2008 when the two were found murdered.

12:55 pm: Some expressed displeasure, asking the mediapersons to move their cameras and equipment from the way.

12:35 PM: With the acquittal, the central question in the bizarre mystery resurfaces –- who killed the 14-year-old girl and the 45-year-old man.

12:30 PM: “There is a strong possibility that (the) incident was caused by some outsider,” a bench comprising justices B K Narayana and A K Mishra had said, upholding the Talwars’ appeal against the CBI court verdict.

12:25 PM: The Allahabad High Court had yesterday acquitted the Talwars in the case, saying neither the circumstances nor the evidence was enough to hold them guilty.

12:20 PM: “We have not received the court order as yet. We will release them once we get it,” Dasna Jail Superintendent Dadhiram Maurya told reporters here.

12:05 pm: Dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, who have been acquitted in the murders of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, are likely to walk free from the jail here after the prison authorities receive the court order, the jailer said today.

The Allahabad High court judgement is the best and well reasoned under the circumstances / investigation the case reached before the court. It has again been proved that hundred criminals go scot- free but one innocent should not be punished. This case has put question marks on Noida Police, CBI and trial court judge. The reason for such mess could not see the light of the day but the case will be remembered as a case of failure of the system.

Why can't the sloppy CBI officers and judge who illegally destroyed this two parents' lives after their daughter's death, be tried and jailed?

CBI court commit gross mistake rightly pointed by HC. Similarly Sirsa court of CBI committed same mistake in Ram Rahim case.If you observe closely you find Judge punished the accused un-proportionally .
