Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatuallah Khan, who was arrested on charges of molestation in July, has been booked again on the same charge, this time on a complaint lodged by a relative, The Indian Express reported on Sunday quoting sources. As per the report, Khan’s relative lodged the complaint in Jamia Nagar police station on Friday and accused lawmaker of forcing her to get into a physical relationship. The complainant also accused her husband of pressuring her to get “physically intimate” with the AAP MLA, said sources. The woman leveled dowry allegations against her in-laws too, the sources added.
A case has been registered against the MLA under sections 354 (molestation), 506 (criminal intimidation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Khan claimed innocence and said that he is being unfairly targeted in the case. Khan is already facing rape and murder attempt charges in a case filed against him in July. Police had arrested MLA following the complaint. Police alleged that Khan also attempted to run over the woman.
