The ongoing crisis situation in Aam Admi Party deepened on Saturday as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal dropped state’s Water Resources Minister Kapil Mishra from his cabinet. Mishra, soon after the sacking, hit back at Kejriwal by vowing to public ‘explosive details’ on Delhi’s alleged ‘ water tanker scam’. Taking to Twitter, Mishra said that he is the ‘only’ minister with no corruption charges in Kejriwal’s cabinet. “I am the only minister with no corruption charges. No CBI enquiry against me. I have not appointed any daughter/relative (to a government post). (I) Exposed Sheila’s corruption,” Kapil Mishra said. Mishra expressed his disagreement with Kejriwal’s decision with a series of tweets and re-tweets. “Has Kapil Mishra been punished for speaking against tanker scam? Why he has been removed before yesterday’s scam? Why taker scam is being veiled?” read a post which Mishra re-tweeted as a mark of disagreement.

Remarkably, the decision to sack Mishra came days after the minister sided with senior party leader Kumar Vishwas during latter’s tussle with party’s top management. “I was not informed of the decision and as per my knowledge, it was taken unilaterally by Kejriwal. The Cabinet or the Political Affairs Committee (the AAP’s top decision- making body) was not involved,” Mishra told PTI.

“No official communication yet, but I had told CM that I can’t tolerate delay in tanker scam report,” Kapil Mishra said while speaking to ANI. “I had informed CM that I would submit names of those to Anti-Corruption Bureau, who are involved in the delay,” Mishra added. This comes days after a tussle had broken out between senior leader Kumar Vishwas and other party leaders after the former had alleged party management of running away from taking the responsibility for poll debacle. Following Vishwash’s comments, party legislator Amanatullah Khan had alleged him of working at the behest of Bharatiya Janata Party. However, the situation was purportedly controlled as Vishwas was made AAP’s Rajasthan unit chief, and Khan was suspended from the party.
