Responding to former Delhi water minister Kapil Mishra’s allegation, Delhi BJP unit chief demanded resignation from chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on behalf of party and people of Delhi. He said the whole of Delhi is shocked today and Kejriwal has no right to be the chief minister of Delhi now. “Whole of Delhi is absolutely shocked by today’s remarks of Kapil Mishra. It’s not an allegation but a statement of a witness,” Tiwari was quoted as saying by ANI. “It is shameful that a CM took bribe from his cabinet minister,” said Tiwari and added that BJP will take the matter to the investigating agencies. “Kapil Mishra ne der se hi sahi lekin jo saahas kiya hai uske liye main unhe dhanyavaad karna chahta hoon,” said Tiwari. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi while talking to Times Now said it is a serious allegation and needs to investigated.

Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Devinder Singh Sehrawat said Arvind Kejriwal Government has completely compromised with corruption. “The Arvind Kejriwal Government, which lasted only 49 days, is far different from the present one. The Government which came in mid-February 2014 had a message that corrupt will not be spared. But now after Kapil Mishra’s revelation, it has been proved that this party has completely compromised with corruption,” Sherawat told ANI.
Earlier in the day, Kapil Mishra had alleged that he saw Arvind Kejriwal taking Rs 2 cr from Satyendar Jain. “There are several allegations on money laundering and black money against Satyendra Jain which are known to all. It is known to all that before holding the post of Delhi Cabinet Minister and after taking the oath, he gave a prominent position to his daughter and other relatives,” he said.
