AAP has been surrounded by controversy since the party’s claims that it lost the MCD elections 2017 because of EVM tampering. The party claimed that the EVMs which were used for MCD elections were hacked. The controversy led to the party infighting with Kumar Vishwas coming out with a video against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and Amanatullah Khan calling Kumar Vishwas a ”BJP-RSS” agent.
