Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s noble initiative called “#Sandesh2Soldiers” to invite people to send letters and messages to the armed forces has received appreciation from all corners. Now, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan have sent poignant messages to soldiers. Significantly, this came at a time when ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ controversy has cast its darkest shadow over the film fraternity and division became apparent.

Salman took to Facebook and shared PM Modi’s message to the soldiers. “My hearty greetings to the army soldiers and young people of the country and Happy Diwali to all #Sandesh2Soldiers,” he wrote on Facebook.

Aamir also shared PM’s video message to soldiers on his Twitter account.

In a four-minute video released on the NaMo app, MyGov.in and Doordarshan, PM Modi appeals to people to send messages to soldiers on Diwali. “On festivals we remember our loved ones. Send your love and wishes to our soldiers who give up their life and comfort for our safety,” PM Modi said in the video. Doordarshan is also going to mount a programme to share people’s emotions with the armed forces. A special module has been launched on the Narendra Modi App to enable people to send greetings or their hand-written messages to the armed forces. The video starts with a child sending a ‘Thank You Rocket’ to soldiers for defending the nation under extreme conditions. It also shows a mother remembering her son while making sweets.

Why media create hype of minor gesture of inherently insensitive and opportunistic pro stani actors. No 1 enemy is stan and its master China and by this message do you want people to forget proximity and love of Aamir and Salman with stan

Each and everyone of our countrymen is a soldier when we take up the responsibility, the atude and the commitment in line with our borderline soldiers serving our mother nation. They do not ask anything from you because we are only the takers therefore, we need to perform with an aim i.e. India First, so that they feel proud of our doings and we keep them at high esteem. My heartiest greetings to our soldiers who do the great sacrifices without any returns, they are our Real Parents and we all are their children. Happy Diwaali Greetings!!!!!!!!Prashant
