No sooner did Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel offered to step down from her position, that Opposition sharpened their knives to attack BJP and the current state of affairs in the state. While AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal feels that her resignation comes in due to the growing popularity o9f AAP in the state, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday tweeted that it is the 13 years of Narendra Modi’s reign that is responsible for ‘Gujarat burning’ and not Anandiben Patel.
The Gandhi scion further added that Patel is a ‘scapegoat’ that is being sacrificed by the BJP, which however won’t help BJP in any manner.
13 years of Modi rule, not 2 years of Anandiben are responsible for Gujarat burning. Sacrificing the scapegoat won’t save the BJP

Patel, on Monday offered to resign from her position through her social media platforms. She cited her age as the reason for her stepping down and said she was resigning so as to allow the new incumbent enough time to prepare for the upcoming elections in Gujarat, as well as important events like Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017.
