Rally for better amenities

SOLAPUR, Oct 16: The city unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today took out a rally to draw the civic administration's attention to the state of city roads and other inadequate civic amenities.Addressing the rally, city unit chief Col Prabhakar Landge (retd.) lambasted Mayor Janardan Karampuri for squandering the tax-payers' money. The First Citizen was busy renovating his office while Solapurites were suffering under insufficient civic amenities, and his party would oppose tournaments for the mayoral trophy, if no steps were taken to provide better amenities, he added.
