CHANDIGARH, Oct 16: The Chandigarh Administration has granted another instalment of dearness allowance (DA) to its employees with effect from July 1, 1998.The amount will be paid in cash from July 1, 1998. The DA will also be paid to work charged employees but it will not be applicable to the staff paid from contingencies, casual labour, daily wager, those working on piece rate system and on contract basis, a press statement issued by the Administration said.
The DA will be paid at the rate of 22 per cent permonth as against 16 per cent paid earlier, the release added.
