Noted magician of Calcutta Pradip Chandra Sorcar, Jr, has been chosen to receive the Merlin Award for his contributions to the art of magic.The board of directors of the International Magicians Society, headquartered in New York, has unanimously chosen Sorcar Junior to receive the award, a 14 inch tall gold-plated statue, according to Sorcar, now camping in Kasargod in Kerala.
The International Magicians Society has 20,000 members all over the world. Its motto is to promote and preserve the art of magic.
The award would reach the magician on Novermber One.
