Four bodies recovered
Two bodies were found lying on the Ring Road in the Mukherjee Nagar police station area. There were no physical injuries on the bodies. The police believe that the victims could have died of starvation. The bodies have not been identified as yet. In another case, an unidentified male body was found by passersby in a garbage bin on Probyn Road in Timarpur this morning. The police believe that the body was dumped in the area last night.In another case, a highly decomposed body was recovered by the police from a drain in the Kakrola village in west Delhi this morning. According to the police, the body had almost been reduced to a skeleton. It has not been identified as yet.
Sarojini Nagar murder solved
The police claim to have worked out a murder case that took place under the Sarojini Nagar police station area. The body of a sex-worker had been found abandoned at a childrens' park in Sarojini Nagar in March. It took the police five months to trace the suspect. Sharda alias Manju had a dispute over the ownership of a jhuggi with Laldev with whom she was living in Seemapuri area. Laldev along with Bhal Chand and Udhay Bhan reportedly strangled her with her own saree in the childrens' park. Both Laldev and Bhal Chand have been arrested.
Couple held for murder
The anti-robbery cell yesterday arrested a couple accused in a murder case at Shalimar Bagh that took place about an year ago. Anup Kumar and Monika were arrested near Kamal Cinema while they were travelling in a stolen Zen car. A country-made revolver and five live cartridges were recovered from them. According to the police, Anup is involved in 22 cases of murder, burglary and robbery. Further interrogations revealed that he is an associate of an organised gang.
30-yr-old woman found dead
A 30-year-old woman was found found hanging from a ceiling fan of her Sarita Vihar house this evening. Reshma had been married for the past seven years and has two children. Her husband was reportedly not present in the house at the time of the incident.
Labourer falls to his death
A labourer fell to his death in the Mukherjee Nagar police station area. Kanhiya Lal, who was working at a construction site fell from the third floor and reportedly died at the spot. The police believe he slipped from the area where he was working. Senior officers say it appears to be a case of accidental death.
Tenant stabbed by landlord
A man was reportedly stabbed by his landlord in Trilokpuri under the Kalyanpuri police station area last night. The police believe Sunil stabbed Ramesh after the duo got drunk and had a tiff over something. The accused was arrested this morning and remanded to police custody for two days by a local court.
