SP may even tie up with Cong to keep BJP at bay
The Samajwadi Party (SP) does not rule out a post-election tie-up with the Congress to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from coming to power at the Centre. SP general secretary Ramgopal Yadav hinted at this while releasing the party manifesto yesterday. He further added that the SP would do anything to keep the BJP out, claiming that the Congress was "a thousand times" better than the BJP.

Sonia does not fascinate Punjab
Sonia Gandhi's decision to campaign for the Congress during the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls may have set many hearts aflutter within the Congress rank and file. But Congress workers in Punjab are not enthused. Even in districts where the Congress has a strong presence, the general response to Sonia's presence is very dismal. Even the locals are predicting that Sonia's entry will not garner any votes for the Congress in Punjab.
