Another mishap at ONGC installation

[Details] In a second mishap that occured at the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) offshore installations at Bombay High within a month, the spudcan (leg) of Sagar Lakshmi, a jack up platform, broke while being shifted late this evening. The platform was being shifted from the Panna field (used by Reliance-Enron) to B-173 when the spudcan snapped.

20 LTTE men killed in Operation Jaya Sekuru

[Details] At least 25 combatants have died since the military restarted its operation in northern Sri Lanka and captured a key area in territory held by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), the military headquarters said. In what has been dubbed as the "final phase" of the six-month operation in the Vanni, soldiers advanced further north from the Oddusudan area during the weekend and were confronted by large groups of LTTE fighters.
