Dispelling Kesri's views, ULFA takes Cong head on
The outlawed United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) has issued a stern warning to the Congress and asked it to make its stand clear on the issues raised by the outfit within 15 days from today. The ULFA threat comes in response to Congress president Sitaram Kesri's recent remark that the outfit was scared of the party.

United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said she was counting on Russia and France to convince Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to back down in the stand-off over UN arms inspections. Saddam however said his country was not looking for a confrontation with the US and was seeking a solution with the United Nations Security Council "through dialogue."
