2 EDs, 10 others screened for UTI executive trustee post

Mumbai, Dec 10: Unit Trust of India’s (UTI) two executive directors (ED), Mr DSR Murthy and Mr BS Pandit, were among the 12 candidates who were screened on Monday for the final selection of the vacant post of executive trustee (ET). The final selection of the UTI ET is expected to be made by the Industrial Development Bank of India.

The UTI board of trustees had invited applications for the post of ET.
According to a top UTI source, both the EDs of UTI had cleared their earlier rounds and were screened on Monday for the final selection.

UTI chairman M Damodaran refused to comment on the screening process for the post of ET saying: “I am not a member of the board of trustee, so I am unable to speak about the screening process.”

Currently, the ET slot is the only vacant one on the UTI board of trustees, which now has 10 of the 11 slots filled up.
