Govt may bring changes in Passport Bill today
  The Opposition came down heavily on the government in the Lok Sabha on Monday for failing to protect the interests of the country at the recent round of WTO negotiations at Doha.
Working group on textiles favours higher interest reimbursement
  The working group on textile industry, including jute, for the 10th Plan has recommended that the government should follow the Chinese example and allow a higher interest reimbursement at 8 per cent for certain “critical” sectors against 5 per cent allowed under the TUFS for achieving global competitiveness.
   

Soyabean oil: Industry seeks curbs on imports of modified variety

  The Central Organisation for Oil Industry & Trade has demanded restricting imports of soyabean oil extracted from genetically modified (GM) seeds.
