Dollar on defensive as anthrax jitters weigh
  The dollar was on the defensive on Monday, nursing hefty losses from the previous session as dealers waited to assess the impact on the US economy of the latest anthrax contamination scares.
RBI to issue quarterly calender of repos auctions
  The Reserve Bank of India on Monday decided to replace the system of daily announcement/issue of press release regarding repos and reverse repos auction under the scheme of liquidity adjustment facility with a quarterly calender of auctions.
Icra downgrades IDBI’s medium-term ratings
  Investment Information and Credit Rating Agency on Monday revised Industrial Development Bank of India’s long and medium-term ratings to “LAA+” and “MAA+”, indicating high safety from “LAAA” and “MAAA”, indicating highest safety.
Govt stake in IOB to be again in Oct next
  In order to improve the capital adequacy ratio further, Indian Overseas Bank is planning to dilute the government’s stake during October 2002. The government had already diluted 25 per cent stake to the public in September through an initial public offer.
