CBI team to visit Dubai with ‘most wanted’ list
  A high -level team of law enforcement agencies led by CBI joint director D Sivanandan will visit Dubai next week to hand over ‘red alert’ papers to the UAE government on some of the most wanted criminals in India, who are living in the Gulf and have business interests there.
Special additional duty on bulk petro products likely
  The Centre is actively considering levying a special additional duty of 4 per cent on bulk petroleum products including naphtha, fuel oil, high speed diesel, LSHS, aviation turbine fuel, bitumen and base oils.
Poor management, adverse market force textile units to down shutters
  Twenty textile mills in the private sector at Mumbai have been either closed or ceased functioning or drastically reduced their production, thanks to adverse market conditions, mismanagement, hikes in wage cost, power tariff, water charges and successive government’s dillydallying over the sale of excess land.
Trips Council charts WTO draft
  Taking note of concerns voiced by India and other developing countries regarding protection and promotion of public health under the Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights Agreement, the Trips Council has formulated a draft addressing the issues and has proposed to introduce it as a separate ministerial declaration at the fourth WTO Ministerial Conference in Doha.
