BS Sethia elected Elcina president

The Electronic Component Industries Association (Elcina) has elected Mr BS Sethia as its new president for the year 2001-02. Mr Sethia, a director of Delhi-based audio component manufacturer Elin Electronics, was honorary secretary of Elcina last year and has been an active executive committee member of the association.

Elcina has also announced its annual awards for the year 2000-01 recently. Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman and group managing director of Bharti Enterprises has been awarded the ‘Electronics Man of the Year’ award. The award for excellence in exports was given to Epcos India of Nasik.

The excellence award for quality, reserach and development and indigenisation of capital goods was won by CDIL, New Delhi; Midas Communication Technologies, Chennai and Samtel Color, Ghaziabad respectively.
