IDBI Bank plans to open over 200 ATMs soon

New Delhi, Sept 20: IDBI bank has plans to open over200 atms soon in a bid to expand its operations in India and thus position itself to become a fast growing entity.

“IDBI plans to open 200 plus atms in the short term andwill shortly cross the figure of 100,” the bank said in a statement announcing the inauguration of its 60th branch at faridabad today. The bank was positioning itself to become a technologyled, services driven and Financial service marketing company with intellectual integrity, it said.

The bank had registered a 53 per cent rise in net profitat Rs. 18.22 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs. 11.90 crore in the corresponding period of 1999-2000, it said. “

Profits for the current first quarter formed 94 per centof profits in the previous year,” it added. IDBI bank’s faridabad branch would offer anytime banking,mobile banking, electronic fund transfers, depository services and stop shops for all loan products.
