Sebi may allow mutual funds to invest in derivatives segment
  In its efforts to deepen the fledgling derivatives market and also make available more investment products to the mutual funds, the Sebi is contemplating to allow MFs to invest in derivatives segment along with the Foreign Institutional Investors.
Tech stocks trade at heavy discounts
  There seems no respite for cyber investors as technology stocks are now trading at a hefty discount of up to 87 per cent to their book values. The book value, which is generally reckoned as intrinsic value of a stock, is low in an IT company as compared to its old-economy counterpart.

RBI hikes FII investment cap to 74-100 per cent

  The Reserve Bank of India on Thursday formally announced the hike in the investment limits for foreign institutional investors which, it said, can go beyond 24 per cent to a maximum sectoral cap/statutory ceiling as applicable.
