Bhel may set up subsidiary for ElectraVan production, sale
  The state-run Bhel is exploring the possibility of setting up a subsidiary to take care of the production and sale of its battery-powered vehicle ElectraVan. However, the company is of the view that the formation of a subsidiary will be linked to the volumes.
KPMG for merger of CIL, subsidiaries
  Internataional consultant KPMG has recommended a merger of Coal India Ltd and its subsidiaries, as one of eight possible ways of restructuring the public sector giant.
Tata Engg car sales up 9.8%; Indica up 49%
  Tata Engineering has reported an increase of 9.8 per cent in sales volume at 14,399 vehicles in August 2001 as against 13,108 vehicles sold in August 2000. Sales of the Indica rose for the third consecutive month, with a growth of 49 per cent at 5,157 vehicles in August 2001.
Hindustan Zinc, Shipping Corpn lift RoNW of PSU firms during 2000-01
  The return on net worth of 32 major public sector companies increased in 2000-01 over the previous year, indicating an improvement in the efficiency of generating higher shareholder value. The RoNW is measured as net profits as percentage of net worth.
