Chemicals ministry rejects plea for DPCO exemption
  The chemicals and fertilisers ministry has rejected health ministry’s plea seeking exemption of drugs from Drugs Price Control Order (DPCO) whose average daily cost works out to less than Rs 2.
No concessions on car CBU imports for foreign firms
  The government has told foreign companies that there will be no relaxation of the conditions regarding imports of completely built units (CBUs) of cars — now that the quantitative restrictions (QRs) have been removed, with effect from April 1.
Zee Tele shares sold to Singapore-based FII
  ZEE Telefilms (ZTL) promoters, who had kept the buyer a secret, appear to have sold 25 lakh of their shares to the Singapore-based foreign institutional investor (FII), Alliance Capital. This is part of their effort to repay to ZTL Rs 220 crore which they had borrowed to acquire shares of B4U and AB Corp.
Real estate spotlight shifts to residential accommodation
  There has been a shift in preference towards residential accommodation in Mumbai and Delhi. Research conducted by property consultants show that with the offices moving away from the heart of the cities, the demand for residential accommodation is growing in the suburbs.
