Texprocil forced to aim lower as cotton yarn exports miss target
After a good Budget, which was expected to boost the sagging morale, the cotton yarn exports figures have come as a shock to the textile industry in the country.

Government fixes wheat export target at 5 million tonne for the next fiscal
The Union government on Wednesday fixed a wheat export target of 5 million tonne for the next fiscal at an ex-FCI price of Rs 4,300 per tonne, up from the Rs 4,150 at present.

Textiles processors make fresh demand for lower ad valorem duty
The textiles industry seems to be divided on the issue of ad valorem duty. While the composite mills have welcomed the finance minister's move to increase the ad valorem duty to 16% from the earlier 12%.
