Bangalore, March 18: Describing the Balco deal as `day-light dacoity' by the Vajpayee government, Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi on Sunday the alleged massive corruption in privatisation of the company.``Balco has been sold for just Rs 500 crore, when its property itself is worth Rs 5,000 crore. It'a day-light dacoity, a grave injustice to the tribals and people of Chhatisgarh,'' Mr Jogi said, supporting the political resolution moved at the party's plenary session here. The prime minister wanted to know the names of those involved in the corruption the in Balco deal, Jogi said, adding, ``now, what I wanted to tell, all people are watching them (those who received money in the deal) on electronic media. Where is the need for proof (of corruption) now.''
Mr Jogi said that by privatising Balco, the NDA government has violated the constitution and laws.
Charging Disinvestment Minister Arun Shourie as an ``embodiment of facism,'' he claimed Mr Shourie faxed details regarding the Balco deal to the state in the ``middle of the night.''
``[Mr] Shourie is working like Hitler and Mussolini, who were working during nights,'' Mr Jogi said, and alleged that Mr Shourie had written a book denouncing Babasaheb Ambedkar.
